NSU celebrates 2024 Outstanding Freshmen recipients

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State University recently named 10 students as the 2024 Outstanding Freshmen recipients.

The Outstanding Freshmen award is an annual honor that recognizes achievement in scholarship, leadership and service either to the NSU or the local community during a student’s first year of college.

The students are interviewed by a committee regarding their time on campus, leadership philosophy and their future goals to select the Outstanding Freshmen winners.

“It is a pleasure to welcome our Outstanding Freshmen to the RiverHawk family,” NSU President Rodney Hanley said. “This accomplishment marks an important step as they begin their remarkable journey through higher education at NSU.”
