NSU announces 2025 STAR and Rising STAR recipients
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University has announced the 2025 STAR and Rising STAR award recipients. Tammy Perry and Hannah Bryant were recognized for their significant contributions and work for NSU.
Perry is the 2025 STAR award recipient. To receive the STAR award, an employee must work at NSU for two or more years and demonstrate great teamwork, an exemplary attitude, reliability and excellent service.
Perry has dedicated 31 years to NSU and has had a significant impact on the Office of the Registrar. She has brought valuable knowledge, experience and spirit as an associate registrar for the past decade. Perry has established herself not just as an esteemed colleague but also as a revered mentor and leader through her commitment to promoting an uplifting and supportive work environment.
Bryant is the Rising STAR 2025 recipient. Rising STAR recipients must be employed at NSU for six months to two years and demonstrate exceptional service, devoted spirit, great teamwork and dependability to win the award.
During her time at NSU, Bryant brought life to stories through captivating and creative video content as the video projects coordinator. She used her excellent skills to produce high-quality and fascinating videos that showcase NSU’s unique charm while supporting the university’s mission and values.
“As an institution, NSU relies on the valuable contributions of dedicated staff members,” NSU President Rodney Hanley. “It is an honor to recognize the exceptional service of Perry and Bryant.”
Winners received a $150 check, a gift from Barnes & Noble, annual parking permits and a STAR award trophy. Both recipients were honored during the Employee Recognition award ceremony in April.
