Directory service offered to NSU alumni

The Northeastern State University Alumni Association now offers its new Alumni Directory and Account Manager as a free service to association members.

The Alumni Directory and Account Manager gives members of the association a personal connection to the NSU alumni community. Those logging in can find former classmates, update contact information, view their history of giving to NSU and make donations.

"It is a multi-functional resource," said Daniel Johnson, director of alumni services. "It is a self-service platform where they can review and manage their information within our database, but I think the more popular usage may be its utility for finding old friends. Any member with a log-in can look up anyone in our database. The initial information provided will be small name, hometown, graduation year but they can send e-mail messages to reconnect and learn more about each other."

Johnson said the directory and manager were implemented to expand the suite of benefits available to members of the Alumni Association.

"As we expand our offerings, we want to make sure our alumni continue to receive benefits of real utility and value," he said. "This benefit goes along with our relationship with Career Services in helping alumni seek employment, discount ticket pricing and discount alumni events. We believe enhancing the benefits package will grow the association's membership in the coming years."
