Broken Arrow, Okla. -- Rachel Anderson Hill, communications manager for the Tulsa Metro Chamber, will join Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow as its new marketing specialist for the College of Extended Learning on July 5.
Hills vision for promoting the college, fueled by a highly creative energy, will place NSU at the forefront of adult learning opportunities in the northeast region, said Dr. Christee Jenlink, dean of NSUBA.
A 2002 summa cum laude alumna with a bachelors and masters degree from NSU, Hill will implement marketing, advertising and promotional efforts on behalf of CEL.
My efforts will focus on showcasing NSUBAs new College of Extended Learning as a quality, convenient place for adults to complete a degree, a valuable resource for the regions employers and another example of why Northeastern State University is a leader in higher education, said Hill.
Working in the Tulsa market upon graduating from NSU eight years ago, Hill brings to the campus reputable experience, established credentials and is looking forward to hitting the ground running.
I have watched the NSUBA campus grow rapidly in the past few years, said Hill. I am excited to be a part of its continued growth and success; it is fulfilling to join an organization that is providing an excellent education to its students.
Hill said she is prepared to take the challenge this fall identifying potential students in the Greater Tulsa market area.
We want to reach the right people with the right message at the right time in their lives, said Hill.
This fall, NSUBAs newest college will empower adult learners to enhance their professional identities and advance their careers.
There are countless adults in the Tulsa regions communities who want to return to college to earn a degree or jumpstart their career, but life often gets in the way with family and work obligations, said Hill.
Hill said the College of Extended Learning provides adult learners with what they need to turn their dreams into reality through online classes, block scheduling and other flexible degree-completion options.
People are always impressed when they learn about the growth, degree options and quality programs at NSUBA, said Hill.
Hill said she hopes that through her position and first-hand experience as an NSU graduate, she will help the CEL and NSUBA become as successful as possible.
I am excited to continue in this field in what I now consider my hometown, said Hill.
