During her appearance at NSU, Silver-Parker will share her perspective on the progress of the womens movement in U.S. business and the larger American society, while offering some reality rooted career advice to young people considering a career in business. A Q&A session will follow.

She grew up relatively poor during the civil rights movement, and became the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Walmart, then went on to become President of Corporate Affairs and President of the AT&T Foundation at AT&T.
