NSU Launches a New Resource on the Career Services' Web site
TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State Universitys Career Services Office recently launched a new Web site, nsuok.edu/careerservices, to automate numerous functions found within the career center and enhance the services offered to campus students, alumni and employers.
We are very excited about the launch of this new Web site as it exemplifies the focus of our office on supporting the needs of campus students, alumni and employers. By implementing this new system, we will continue to enhance our services related to full-time employment, internships/cooperative education, alumni employment and more, said Gayle Anderson, coordinator of Career Services.
Powered by CSO Researchs Interfase system, this new site streamlines student and employer registration, resume referrals, document management, placement tracking, job posting and management, interview scheduling, career fair management, resume books and alumni mentoring. As a result, students have continual access to easily register, search jobs, send online inquiries, and manage multiple resumes, cover letters, and other employment related documents.
I was very glad to hear that NSU is providing access to resumes online, said Dr. Michael Shanahan, executive director of Human Resources with Bartlesville Public Schools. The availability of this information should be valuable to all employers as we continue to seek efficient methods of developing our applicant pool. The economy and convenience this service keeps us competitive and helps applicants locate the ideal situation.
Employers can quickly and easily post jobs on campus, choose to receive online applications directly from the system with current resumes attached, sign up for career fairs and much more.
I feel that my recruiting efforts will be extremely more productive and give us the opportunity to truly evaluate all applicable candidates, said Jackie Ryals, process manager for IBM and NSU alumna. We'll have the opportunity to search for candidates and not just assume all those that meet our qualifications have requested interviews. This process will greatly enhance the recruiting experience and give us more access to candidates.
