Northeastern State University is participating in the 2010 Creativity World Forum, a global event hosted by Creative Oklahoma, in Oklahoma City on Nov. 15-17. The event features an extraordinary lineup of more than 65 speakers and presenters, including some of the worlds most respected thinkers on creativity.
The NSU booth in the Cox Convention Center features interactive experiences, including demonstrations of Cherokee Language teaching modules, podcasts for biology classes, creative learning spaces design activities and 3D learning that merges music and mathematics for pre-schoolers. Visitors also can be videotaped discussing their impressions of the conference for immediate playback, and they can view a photo collage that morphs into landmark illustrations of NSU. Cherokee Language students will transcribe visitors names into souvenir calligraphy translations in Cherokee.
The campus community can keep up with NSU's involvement in the 2010 Creativity World Forum by visiting the NSU Creativity blog.Included are links to pages with information about the university's innovative educational approaches and a blog for comments and queries from those participating and following.
