Clubs and Organizations

From networking to leadership opportunities, NSU’s over 80 clubs and organizations allow our students to build lasting relationships while getting the full college experience.

Whether you’re an incoming or current transfer student, NSU’s transfer advisors are available to assist you with transcript evaluation, information on degree programs and support services. NSU is where You Belong.

NSU offers continuing education courses in early March

(Tahlequah, OK)--Sign-up is open for March courses through Northeastern State University Continuing Education. Courses include:

Belly Dance for Fitness is available to ages 14-up at the Shawnee Street Theatre on Tuesdays, March 2-30. The class meets 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is instructed by Traci Clark. Class does not meet March 16. Fee is $35 and no more than 10 can be enrolled. Dancing is barefoot. Wear comfortable clothing and a scarf, belt or sarong to tie at the hips.

Body Sculpting and Pilates also meets Tuesdays, March 1-30, at the Shawnee Street Theatre. Classes are 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Rachel Farinelli is the instructor. Class does not meet March 16. Enrollment is $30 and the class is limited to eight. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Exercise equipment is available for purchase for $25 the first night of class.

Jill Farnik teaches Yoga on Mondays and Thursdays, March 1-April 1. Classes are 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Shawnee Street Theatre in Continuing Education Classroom A. Classes do not meet March 15 and 18. Fee is $50 a month or $30 to attend Monday classes only. Bring a towel or blanket for floor exercises.

Beginning Dog Obedience classes are Tuesdays, March 2-30, at the North Gym. The class meets 6:30-7:30 p.m. Instructor is Toni Bailey and fee is $55. Class does not meet March 16. Bring a 4-6 foot leash and treats with which to reward your dog.

A two-session introductory course for Microsoft Word (2007) is offered March 1 and 8 from 6-9 p.m. in the third-floor computer lab of the NET Building. Instructor is Jamie Stocks. Fee, including book, is $99 and class size is limited to 12.
