NSUBA to host Fall Festival on Oct. 26

BROKEN ARROW Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow presents Fall Festival 2010 on Tuesday, October 26th from 5-8 p.m. in Building A.

This years theme, NSUFari, sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, brings a jungle and safari twist to the Fall Festival, complete with carnival style games and activities. Fun for all ages, this free event is for the entire NSU community and surrounding neighborhoods.

We will be having several games upstairs in the ballroom including a bean bag toss, ring toss and pin the tail on the zebra," said Anna Robison, graduate assistant and chair for the event. "Hot dogs, lemonade and water will be provided in the Visitor Center Gallery, as well as arts and crafts including bookmark making and color sheets. We will also have a hay ride for the family and a cake walk will be featured by Dr. Stephen Sargent of the Parent Teachers Association and co-sponsor of the Student Oklahoma Educators Association.

Different departments from NSU will be on hand to provide games and activities for the children. About 200 children are expected to attend. Halloween costume dress is encouraged.

There will not be a costume contest as this event is not specific to any holiday; however, the children will dress up as an alternative to going out on Halloween," said Robison. "This will not anything spooky. We consider it fun for all ages."

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to donate candy for the event in the Office of Student Affairs.

We have donation buckets around campus for faculty and staff to donate candy for the event," said Robison. "We will hand out candy and other goodies at the games stations."
