Foutch to Serve as President of NSU Alumni Association

TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Alumni Association announces several changes to its Board for Spring 2004, including a new president, vice president, and four new board members. Serving as avid supporters of the University, each board member plays an integral part in promoting the growth and mission of the Alumni Association.
Foutch Named President. Tim Foutch, NSU Assistant Vice President for Administration, has been elected as the new president of the Alumni Association. A former four-year starter for the Redmen football team, Foutch received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Industrial Technology from Northeastern. A Tahlequah resident, Foutch serves as a member of the Grand View School Board and the Board of Trustees for the Northeast Public Facilities Authority. Previously, Foutch held a management position with a division of Johnson & Johnson.
Evans Named Vice President. Northeastern's Alumni Association welcomes Ron Evans of Collinsville as its new vice president. Evans received his NSU Bachelor of Science in Education in 1960 and a Masters in Education in 1964. After many dedicated years of coaching and teaching, Evans retired in 1999. He currently co-owns and operates Evans-Miranda Computer Designs. A volunteer for the Nifty-Fifties alumni group, Evans has helped organize numerous reunions for alumni that graduated in the late '50s and early '60s.
Long, Knight, Pacewicz, Parker Named Board Members. Dale Long, Virgil Knight, Michael Pacewicz, and Jana Parker have all been elected to serve three-year terms on the NSU Alumni Association Board.
An Oologah resident, Dale Long is a 1961 graduate of Northeastern and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education. Named the 1987 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, Long's career as a science teacher spanned 28 years, the last 19 in Oologah. Since retired, Long and his wife Donna (a 1961 NSU graduate) remain active in the NSU Nifty Fifties alumni chapter.
Virgil Knight is the owner and president of Knight Construction in Tontitown, AR. Knight earned his NSU Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1970 and his Masters in Physical Education in 1972. During his time at the University, Knight was on the NSU football and track teams. He and his wife Becky (a 1971 NSU graduate) make their home in Fayetteville.
A practicing attorney with McKiney & Stringer, P.C., Michael Pacewicz is a 1995 graduate from Northeastern. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Northeastern and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Tulsa. While earning his undergraduate degree, Pacewicz served as the editor of The Northeastern student newspaper and was an active member of the Society for Collegiate Journalists. He is currently a member of the Greater Tulsa Area Alumni Chapter.
Jana Parker of Fort Gibson earned a degree in Marketing Management from Northeastern in 1984 and was named an Outstanding Senior that year. She earned her MBA in 1995. During her years at Northeastern, Parker was a member of the Presidents Leadership Class and was a founding member of the NSU dance team. Parker worked as an NSU recruiter from 1985 to 1990. She is married to fellow NSU graduate and President's Leadership Class member, Dr. Bill Parker, O.D.
Promoting the interests and welfare of Northeastern State University, the NSU Alumni Association represents the lifelong commitment and support of its alumni and friends. The Association promotes positive interactions between the University and its alumni through a variety of activities, events, services, and communication. All graduates, former students, and others interested in Northeastern are eligible for membership in the NSU Alumni Association. The Association currently serves more than 3,000 members.
