NSU's provides chance to sing with ‘100 Years of Broadway’

(Tahlequah, OK)--Broadway stars are giving away the chance to join them on stage in Neil Bergs "100 Years of Broadway" at the Tahlequah High School Performing Arts Center on March 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Neil Bergs 100 Years of Broadway concert features Broadway stars from such productions as Jekyll and Hyde, Wonderful Town and It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues singing the finest hit songs of the last 100 years of Broadway musicals. The performance is part of the 24th annual Galaxy of Stars series presented by the Sequoyah Institute at Northeastern State University.

Up to two winners and 10 runners-up will be selected by the shows panel of industry experts which includes producers, singers, managers and Neil Berg himself.

To make submissions, contestants should prepare a 90-120 second video clip of them singing a Broadway favorite, then visit www.singingwiththebroadwaystars.com and follow instructions for entry and uploading the clip to YouTube, MySpace, or Facebook. Fill out the submission form and send a link to the video by 5 p.m. March 18.

The panel will judge the audition tapes to decide who gets the chance to show off their singing skills in front of their family and friends with five Broadway stars and an all star New York band. Winners also receive tickets for their family and friends to see their "Broadway debut."

Winners will be announced March 22 and receive notification by e-mail or phone.

All who submit audition videos receive a 20 percent discount on any ticket to Neil Bergs "100 Years of Broadway."

Ticket prices are adults $20, NSU alumni $18, seniors 60-over and NSU employees $16, students $10 and NSU students $6. To reserve tickets call 918-458-2075.
