(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Northeastern State Universitys Alumni Association presents the 2016 Battenfield-Carletti Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series with featured speaker, Redg Snodgrass, CEO of ReadWrite and Wearable IoT World. The lecture will take place Thursday, April 7 at 10 a.m.in the Webb Building Auditorium on NSUs Tahlequah campus.

The Battenfield-Carletti Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series was established in 2002 through the NSU Foundation by Dr. Harold Battenfield and Dr. John Carletti to invite NSU alumni to campus to share their entrepreneurial experiences with students. One of the primary goals of the lectureship series is to raise student interest in entrepreneurship.

Erin Feller, development officer in Alumni and Development, had spoken with Snodgrass several times regarding his desire to return to campus and speak to students about his experiences in the world after college.

We decided that the Battenfield-Carletti Lectureship was the perfect opportunity for Mr. Snodgrass. He works in a field that is on the cutting edge of technology and can engage with our students and the public about this field, Feller said.

Snodgrass is a graduate of Tahlequah High School and a 2009 NSU Corporate Communication graduate. He is an entrepreneur who has supported more than 80 startups through Wearable IoT World Labs and hosted three conferences in the wearables and IoT space. Snodgrass created the first open application programming interface (API) service across multiple global carriers while serving as head of innovation at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs.
