USAF Band of the West, Dimensions In Blue, featuring NSU Jazz Ensemble

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Dimensions In Blue, the big band jazz ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of the West, will put on a free concert at Northeastern State Universitys Center for the Performing Arts on April 2 at 7 p.m.
Adding to the excitement, NSUs very own Jazz ensemble will play alongside the band for a portion of the evening.
This family friendly performance is part of the ensembles outstanding big band jazz presentation, which has been brought to audiences throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida- entertaining over a million people each year.
Dr. Clark Gibson, director jazz studies at NSU said theNSU Department of Music was honored to host such an outstanding band on the NSU campus.

Dimensions In Blue features 18 talented musicians from around the country, and has kept the 1940s Glenn Miller Army Air Corps sound at the center of its musical focus.
The band has worked with high schools and colleges to promote music education and foster national pride and patriotism through community relations concerts.
The open to the public show promises to deliver world-class musical entertainment to all attendees, while demonstrating Air Force integrity, service and excellence throughout the country.
