NSU Summer Camp for Kids begins with 'Living in a Glaze'

(Tahlequah, OK)--"Living in a Glaze," the first-session offering of Northeastern State University's Summer Camp for Kids, runs June 28 July 2 on the Tahlequah campus.

The session allows campers to explore their creativity through hands-on art experiences in multiple mediums. This camp is for ages 7-over.

"Art is sometimes messy," said Barbara Fuller, director of NSU's Summer Camp for Kids. "'Living in a Glaze' will offer campers a chance to be creative in a variety of small and large activities not commonly offered in public schools such as plaster, painting and big messy projects! Campers will also spend a full day at the Philbrook Art Museum and The Purple Glaze in Tulsa."

"Living in a Glaze" is the first of eight camps offered during five sessions as part of NSU's Summer Camp for Kids. Session II camps are "Buggin' Out," "Freaky Science Experiments" and "Winning the Argument" and run July 5-9. "Sci-Fi Science" meets July 12-16 and "Be a Star" is July 19-23. The final session runs July 26-30 and features "Reading" and "Photography 101."

Each full day of camp is 8:30 a.m. 5 p.m. The cost is $125 for each camp and includes lunch, snacks, camp t-shirt, transportation to and from field trips and admission and special activity costs. Non-refundable deposits are due by June 20 and the remainder must be paid before each camp. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
