Education courses still available at NSU Muskogee

Students pursuing education, reading or psychology still can enroll for fall courses at Northeastern State University- Muskogee.
Classes are beginning to fill, but many are still available. These include several on evenings and weekends, and can be applied towards undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Secondary Education and Psychology. Graduate courses offered lead to Masters Degrees in Teaching, School Administration and Reading.
Elementary Education majors can choose from six courses at NSU Muskogee: Educational Psychology (EDUC 3113); Clinical Teaching and Pre-Internship I (EDUC 3313); Language Arts, Elementary School (ELED 4323); Social Studies for Elementary Grades (ELED 4343); Elementary School Programs in Physical Education (P ED 4513); and Reading and Language Development of the Young Child (READ 4023).
Weekend courses include CPR Training (P ED 4741), Social Studies for Elementary Grades (ELED 4343), and National Board Certification Seminar I & II (EDUC 5433 & 5733) for graduate students.
The mission of the College of Education is to prepare educators, professional school personnel, and other allied professionals to have a positive impact on the lives of all students, families, and communities with whom they come in contact.
NSU is Oklahomas largest educator preparation program, and all education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation.
