NSU-BA to host spring 2024 Biology & Chemistry Seminar

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. —The Gregg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions at Northeastern State University will once again host biology and chemistry experts from across Oklahoma to discuss various topics as part of the spring 2024 Biology & Chemistry Seminar Series.

Dr. Alex Hess from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Tulsa will present “Biogeography and trait evolution in aquatic isopods” on Feb. 23.

Dr. Joshua Muia from the Department of Biochemistry & Microbiology at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences will present “The antithrombotic metalloprotease ADAMTS13: Critical insights into its regulation and function” on March 15.

The series will wrap up with Dr. Parameswar Hari from the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Tulsa presenting “Nano-structured thin films and quantum dots to enhance the efficiency of silicon solar cells” on April 19.

Each seminar in the series will be held on the NSU-Broken Arrow campus in the auditorium, room 141 (BAAS 141). The seminars will begin at 10 a.m. and are expected to last one hour each. Students as well as members of the public are encouraged to attend.
