NSU Honored for Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising Efforts

TAHLEQUAH Northeastern was recently honored by the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association during the association's annual meeting held at the Williams Learning Center (Tulsa) July 13-15. In competition with area state colleges and universities, Northeastern garnered five awards including one Grand Award in the Catalog 2003 division for the NSU College of Optometry Catalog. The University also won an Award of Excellence for the NSU 2003 Catalog in the same division.

Additional awards included: Award of Excellence - Sweet Home Northeastern Homecoming 2002 (Four-Color Brochure/Flyer/Booklet); Award of Excellence - NSU - Major University, Major Value (Film or Videotape); Award of Achievement - Redmen Fever Billboard Promotion Series (Print Advertising); Award of Achievement - NSU 2003 Catalog (Catalog); and Award of Achievement - Imprints Fall 2002 (Cover Design).

Individual recognition went to Neal Weaver, director of Institutional Advancement; Nancy Garber, assistant director of Public Relations; Sean Kennedy, photographer; and Jeff Snodgrass and Tina Rosser, NSU graphic designers.
