NSU recognized as top college for public service education
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State University has been recognized for its online and hybrid degrees in public service by college planning group Students Training & Education in Public Service.
The recognitions signify NSU’s commitment to preparing students for careers dedicated to serving their communities and making a positive impact.
“We believe there is power in education,” NSU President Rodney Hanley, said. “This recognition reflects our dedication to providing our students with the knowledge, skills and values needed to excel as public service professionals.”
The recognitions span across various programs such as Best Online Public Service Degrees, Best Online Degrees in Homeland Security and Best Online Master’s in Public Health where NSU was a top contender against various institutions nationwide.
Degrees in public service allow students the opportunities they need to pursue careers where they can support those in need. Students are able to obtain careers in teaching, social work, public administration, criminal justice, public health and more.
“Our faculty work hard to provide a quality online educational experience that helps students accomplish their career goals while giving them the flexibility they need to meet the demands of their busy lives,” Dr. Carla Swearingen, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, said.
