NSU's Das-Bradoo to receive check for Medal for Excellence in Teaching award

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Northeastern State University professor of biology, Dr. Sapna Das-Bradoo, was recently named the recipient of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence 2024 Medal for Excellence in Teaching at a Regional University & Community College Award. 

Das-Bradoo has served as an instructor on the NSU-Broken Arrow campus since 2011 and is currently interim chair for the Department of Natural Sciences. Throughout her tenure, Das-Bradoo has prioritized creating an externally funded research program centered around students and has secured over $1.1 million for the university. She also organizes NSU’s Biology & Chemistry Seminar Series each semester, which brings experts from across the state to the Broken Arrow campus to share on topics in their areas of study. 

As part of the honor, Das-Bradoo will be presented with a check for $5,000 from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence at a celebration next week.
