Alumni Association names new board members

''We couldn't be more excited about the infusion of energy and commitment the new directors bring to the Association leadership, said Daniel Johnson, director of Alumni Services. Each brings a unique perspective and voice that is highly valued and immensely critical to the growth of the Alumni Association. In joining the existing directors, the new members will really help advance our alumni engagement efforts. The NSU Alumni Association is in great hands."

Ron Evans of Collinsville, a former president of the Alumni Board, joins for a second time. He is a retired school teacher who earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1960 and a master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 1964. During his years at NSU, Evans was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon, a two-year letterman for NSU basketball and editor of Tsa-La-Gi. He is also a co-founder of the Nifty Fifties alumni group.

Mackenzie Jessie of Tahlequah is an attorney for Tim K. Baker & Associates. Jessie graduated from NSU in 2001 with a B.A. in Journalism. A Redmen ambassador and member of Delta Zeta, she also participated in the Northeastern Student Government Association and served as a Rookie Bridge Camp volunteer and a Redmen Ambassador.

Russ Riff of Broken Arrow works in the Commercial Capital division of BancFirst and earned a bachelor's of Business Administration in Banking and Finance in 2003. Riff was named Outstanding Senior at NSU and was active in Lambda Chi Alpha and Redmen Ambassadors.

Rachel Anderson-Hill of Broken Arrow is Communications Manager for the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce and a freelance writer. Hill earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism in 2002 and a master's in Communication in 2003. She was a member of Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and the Society for Collegiate Journalists.

Gilbert Hall of Muskogee is a trainer for OG&E and earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing in 1981. Melanie Wicks of Wagoner is a teacher for Fort Gibson Public Schools and graduated from NSU in 2000. Danna Fowble of Norman is vice president of Federation/Grassroots Development for The State Chamber of Oklahoma.
