NSU Alumni Association Offers San Antonio Football Travel Packages

Tahlequah, Okla. The Northeastern State University Alumni Association is offering travel packages to the Sept. 3 game against Texas-San Antonio for NSU alumni and RiverHawks fans.

The RiverHawks will face off against the new UTSA Roadrunners at the Alamodome.

"UT-San Antonio is expecting a great turnout at the Alamodome and we want to make sure there is some green and white in the crowd," said Daniel Johnson, director of alumni services.

The Alumni Association's San Antonio Labor Day Get-Away Football Weekend is Sept. 2-5. Before and after the game, fans can enjoy the sights and sounds of San Antonios Riverwalk, tour the Alamo and shop the outlet malls.

Multiple packages are available including discounted packages for Alumni Association members and children 2-15 years of age. A 50 percent deposit is due by June 3, full payment due July 8.

"We look forward to sharing this great getaway experience with our alumni and RiverHawk fans," Johnson said. "Traveling by train will be a unique experience for most and it provides a greater opportunity to socialize in a relaxed setting to and from San Antonio."

The price for the Green Package is $475 for double occupancy or $365 for quadruple occupancy, which includes travel via Amtrak from Oklahoma City on Friday morning and returning Monday night, three nights accommodation at Drury Plaza Hotel Riverwalk, attendance to the pre-game reception, a game ticket and a commemorative T-shirt.

Those arranging their own transportation may purchase the White Package, $375 for double occupancy or $250 for quadruple occupancy.

Alumni Association members will receive a $50 discount on either package.
