Registration open for NSU College of Education Summer Youth Academies

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Registration is now open for the Northeastern State University College of Education summer youth academies on the Broken Arrow campus.

Year after year, the academies have been offered through NSU to help children learn and engage in socialization while on summer break.

“We are excited to have increased the size of camps this year to include more children,” Anthony McCarty, NSU continuing education program coordinator, said. “Last year we surpassed 600 campers and plan to do that this year as well.”

Campers can take part in a variety of themed camps including: Sea Saga (ages 4-5), Minecraft (ages 6-8), Welcome to Hogwarts (ages 9-12) and more.

Camps are broken into age groups and last one week each, beginning on June 3. The registration cost is $150. Participants can expect two snacks provided daily along with all materials and a t-shirt. Parents must accompany the camper on the first day of camp to sign in.

Participant drop-off is at 8:30 a.m. Monday-Friday with camps running from 8:30 – 4 p.m. There is an early drop off option for parents from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and a late pickup option from 4 – 5 p.m. at a cost of $25 per week that covers both options.

Details for the Tahlequah campus Summer Youth Academy events will be announced at a later date.
