Oklahoma Research Day returns to NSU- March 11

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Northeastern State University will host the 17th Annual Oklahoma Research Day on March 11 in the Event Center on its Tahlequah campus. Registration and breakfast will begin at8 a.m., with the first round of presentations beginning at9 a.m.and the second round beginning at10:30 a.m.

Presentation categories include business administration, education and professional studies, fine arts and design, liberal arts, and mathematics and science. There will be representatives from many disciplines, such as accounting, business, economics, art, dance, environmental studies, zoology, communication and more.

Dr. Tom Jackson, assistant vice president of the Academic Affairs Administration, is grateful for all participants in this years research day and looks forward to seeing all the presentations.

The 2016 Oklahoma Research Day will showcase approximately 650 posters by over 1,000 authors and co-authors, and will house over 900 visitors and participants for presentations and a lunch banquet.

The lunch banquet will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Kenneth W. Tobin, and will take place at 12:30 p.m.Tobin is the director of Electrical and Electronics Systems Research Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The NSU Jazz Ensemble will perform during the lunch banquet.
