Illinois River Arts & Crafts Festival returns to NSU

Published: 2010-09-02

Northeastern State University is now accepting vendor applications for the Illinois River Arts & Crafts Festival to be held November 12-14, 2010, in the University Centers Herb Rozell Ballroom.

The Illinois River Arts & Crafts Festival was an annual event for several years in the 80s and 90s. This lost tradition has made its way back to NSU and plans to be a great weekend to start holiday shopping, meet local artists and choose handmade items over mass-produced.

The festival will have a large variety of arts and crafts, from traditional to modern. Vendors of all ages are welcome to apply. Multiple artists may share a booth, as long as information for each is listed on the application.

Booth spaces are 10 x 10 feet and cost $75. Vendors can be supplied up to 2 tables and chairs for their set-up, but any other items used for their displays will be the responsibility of the artist.

Hours for the show are Friday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, November 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, November 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be set-up time on Thursday night and Friday morning for vendors to complete their booth displays.
