NSU's RiverHawk Rally invites prospective students

Published: 2010-10-25

Northeastern State University's Office of High School and College Relations will hold its annual RiverHawk Rally on Nov. 6 at the Tahlequah campus.

The RiverHawk Rally is a recruitment event for the university and this year marks its 10th anniversary.

It allows prospective NSU students to visit and tour the campus, meet with faculty, staff and students to learn more about NSU and hopefully find something that will make them want to choose NSU, said Jason Jessie, director of high school and college relations.

Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. and the rally begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Jack Dobbins Field House. Students will visit the University Center, residence halls and other buildings on NSUs campus.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to visit with faculty members in their academic area of interest," said Jessie. "Theyll also get the chance to visit with staff members who can tell them more about the admissions and financial aid process.

Afterward, visiting students can attend the NSU-Eastern New Mexico football game and receive a free t-shirt and tailgate lunch.

Jessie said the rally is a great opportunity and learning experience for any high school juniors or seniors considering NSU.

This rally benefits the whole university, said Jessie. The goal of RiverHawk Rally is to help prospective students see how great NSU is and hopefully influence their decision to further their education here.

Free registration is now available on the High School and College Relations website at www.nsuok.edu/riverhawkrally. For more information, contact the Office of High School and College Relations at 918-444-4679 or 1-800-722-9614, ext. 4675.
