NSU Science and Technology Seminar Series

(Tahlequah, Okla.) The second lecture of the fall 2011 Science and Technology Seminar Series is Sept. 14 at Northeastern State University.
Speaking is Dr. Courtney Gray Montgomery of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation on the topic The World of Complex Disease Research: What Do Genetics and Epidemiology Have to Do With It.
Montgomery is an assistant member of the OMRF with its arthritis and clinical immunology research program. Her research works to identify genes which predispose people to diseases such as colon cancer, lupus and sarcoidosis. Her studies also involve the development of statistical and computational methods to discover such genes.
The Science and Technology Seminar Series is arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of biology.
