Spring 2011 Commencement Ceremonies Will Take Place May 6-7, 9

The Northeastern State University Tahlequah commencement will be at Jack Dobbins Field House on May 6-7. The College of Education will hold its ceremony Friday at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the commencement exercise for the College of Science and Health Professions and the College of Optometry is at 8:45 a.m., followed by ceremonies for the College of Business and Technology at 11:30 a.m. and the College of Liberal Arts at 2:15 p.m.
Phyllis Hudecki, Oklahoma secretary of education, will be the commencement speaker. She will deliver her address at the College of Education exercise.
Commencement for NSUBA is May 9 at 7 p.m. for all colleges in the Union Multipurpose Activity Center at 6836 S. Mingo Road. Commencement speaker is Clarence Oliver, emeritus dean and faculty of the Oral Roberts University College of Education.For the Spring 2011 and Summer 2011 terms, NSU will confer 1,423 degrees. Of those 1,144 are bachelors degrees, 253 are masters and 26 are doctorates. Degrees in science, science education and business administration account for the greatest numbers of four-year degrees. Education, science and arts are the most-selected graduate degrees.
