NSU Tahlequah Spring commencement moved indoors

Spring commencement ceremonies at Northeastern State University on Saturday, May 15
have been moved indoors to the Jack Dobbins Field House, due to forecasts of inclement
weather throughout the day.
Originally scheduled in a single ceremony at 10 a.m. on Gable Field, graduates will
be split into three groups by colleges:
- 10 a.m. College of Liberal Arts, College of Optometry
- 12:30 p.m. College of Business and Technology, College of Science and Health Professions
- 2:30 p.m. College of Education
Graduates and their families should arrive at the field house 30 minutes before their scheduled ceremony. Tickets will be available in the University Center lobby prior to the start of each ceremony.
Dr. Rennard Strickland will be awarded an honorary doctorate and deliver the commencement address during the 12:30 p.m. service. He is a 1962 graduate of NSU and recognized nationally as an expert in American Indian law.
Commencement ceremonies for graduates at NSUs Broken Arrow campus are Monday, May 17 at 7 p.m. in the Union Multipurpose Activity Center in Tulsa.
Entrepreneur and former KTUL channel-8 anchor and reporter Cindy Morrison will deliver the NSU-BA commencement speech.
