Here comes treble! NSU Playhouse to host trio ensemble TAKE3 for live performance – March 5

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University will host TAKE3 at the NSU Playhouse on Wednesday, March 5.

From Tennessee to Arkansas and now to Oklahoma, TAKE3 travels from state to state on a nation-wide tour, performing well-known hits in their own style. The trio’s popular program, “Where Rock meets Bach,” features hit songs from musicians like The Beatles, Billy Joel and Coldplay.

The live performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the NSU Playhouse and attendees can expect an exhilarating mash-up of various genres with a classical twist.

Danielle Morgan, manager of the NSU Playhouse, said show-goers will be treated to an exciting and high-energy show.

“The audience will be blown away by the talent and vibrancy these performers bring,” Morgan said.

The sensational ensemble was created by Lindsay Deutsch, the vocalist and violinist, who has played with the Livermore Symphony and produced music for the hit Netflix series “The Witcher.” TAKE3 has performed with prominent ensembles such as the Cape Symphony, Boulder Chamber Orchestra and the Springfield Symphony.

“We love presenting our Sequoyah Institute performances at the NSU Playhouse because it is such a unique and wonderfully intimate theatre experience for our audience,” Dr. Robyn Pursley, Assistant Dean of The College of Liberal Arts, said. “This is a super high energy group and they also present a variety of genres of music. I think this will make them a great experience for our patrons.”
