Welcome Week to Greet Students at NSU

Published: 2006-08-15

TAHLEQUAH Karaoke, comedy and hypnotism will greet students as they return to Northeastern State University during Welcome Week, starting Aug. 21.

The NSU Office of Student Affairs has a number of activities planned to welcome new and returning students to campus for another academic year.

We are certainly pleased to welcome our students back for another exciting year at Northeastern, said NSU President Dr. Larry Williams. With the opening of the newly constructed Science Center this fall and the classroom building in Broken Arrow, we continue to improve the academic environment for students to provide them with the highest quality education.

Dormitories on campus open for students Aug. 16, with classes starting Aug. 21. Northeastern is again expecting record enrollment for the 2006-2007 academic year.

Welcome Week activities are sponsored in conjunction with the Northeastern Activities Board, the Housing Office, Resident Halls Association, NSU Intramurals, the NSU Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, the Native American Student Association, Indian University Scholars Society, AISES (American Indian Science & Engineering Society), and the Center for Tribal Studies.
