It’s all Greek to me! NSU to hold Greek Sing philanthropy event - March 13
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University will host Greek Sing, a student-led philanthropic event where fraternities and sororities compete by performing popular songs in costume for a live audience on March 13.
Held annually since 2010, Greek Sing offers the community a chance to enjoy exciting performances while supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Emerald in the Rough, a scholarship fund established in 2018 for students who have faced hardship but wish to continue their studies.
“This event features three performances, with fraternities and sororities paired together. They choreograph and write their own scripts,” Katie Cochran, NSU Associate Director of Student Engagement, said.
The theme for this year’s event is “Legends of Every Era.” Community members are encouraged to attend and discover which music legends make an appearance.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $5 in advance (until 5 p.m. on March 13) and $5 for students and $10 for community members on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased and picked up at the NSU Office of Student Engagement on the Tahlequah campus.
