Northeastern State University's Healthy Campus Initiative sponsors Gather Here, Get Healthy classes for the campus community, Mondays through Thursdays, June 7 July 29 from noon to 12:30 p.m.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, Andra Hunt instructs a pilates class and on Tuesday and Thursday she teaches a body sculpting class at the NSU Fitness Center.

Pilates and body sculpting can be safe and challenging for all levels of fitness. The key is the modifications. Hunt will describe and demonstrate the modifications for all levels of fitness.

In addition to the pilates and body scupting classes, Amanda Jones and Libby Rogers facilitate a group walk starting from the Fitness Center at noon each class day. The walk will be moved inside the Fitness Center in the event of rain or excessive heat.

Fee is $18 to participate in the pilates and body scupting classes or to use the facilities at the fitness center.

Health screenings will be offered June 9 and 23 and July 7 and 21 in the Jack Dobbins Field House from 8 a.m. to noon. The screen includes body measurements, weight and height, body fat measurement and for $25 lipid profile and fasting blood sugar.
