NSU to Host Legal Resources Seminar

TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University will host a Legislative and Legal Resources Seminar on Thursday, Sept. 21, at John Vaughan Library in Computer Lab 105 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The seminar is being conducted by Louisa Voden and Steve Beleu of the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.

Participants in the seminar will learn to track legislation and locate legal resources online. The workshop will teach how to find specific legislation and how to track its progress, how to search for bills by subject, legal citation or author, and how to find legislator\'d5s voting records.

The workshop will also provide participants with a number of Internet resources including the Electronic Law Library for Oklahoma, Oklahoma Supreme Court Network, and other web sites and tips for finding legal information.

Tips for tracking federal legislation through the Thomas web site will also be discussed, as well as the National Archives and Records Administration and Government Printing Office Access.
