NSU Stars in the Summer Series to host media day June 23

Members of the media are invited to rehearsals on June 23 by Downtown Country and River City Players for the Stars in the Summer Series at the Shawnee Street Theater and the Northeastern State University Playhouse in Tahlequah.

The event begins at 1 p.m. Rehearsals will follow and media may conduct interviews afterward until approximately 4 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

NSU hosts the summer series, which runs June 24 Aug. 7.

The River City Players will perform two shows this season. Hollywood Hits runs Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Oldies But Goodies is presented Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. All shows are at the Shawnee Street Theatre, 124 W. Shawnee St.

Downtown Country's performances of Destination: Country are Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and If This Ol Dock Could Talk are Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. All Downtown Country shows are at the NSU Playhouse on the northeast corner of Muskogee Avenue and Downing Street.

Ticket prices are adults $12, NSU alumni and employees $10, seniors 60-over and groups of 12 or more $8, children and NSU students $6. A $1 discount is available for advance tickets purchased for June performances. For tickets or reservations call 918-458-2075.
