NSU-Broken Arrow to hold fall 2024 Biology & Chemistry Seminar Series

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Gregg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions at Northeastern State University is bringing biology and chemistry experts from across Oklahoma to discuss various topics as part of the fall 2024 Biology & Chemistry Seminar Series.

The series begins with a presentation titled “Surface metallurgy for additive manufacturing” presented by Dr. William LePage, assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tulsa, on Sept. 20 in the NSUBA Liberal Arts building, Room 114 (BALA 114).

Dr. Swarup Mitra from the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences will present “Early life scarcity adversity inflicts sex specific cerebellar adaptations” on Oct. 4 in the NSUBA auditorium, Room 141 (BAAS 141).

The series will wrap up with Dr. Mustafa O. Jibrin, assistant professor for the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at OSU, presenting “Saving the world through horticulture: Opportunities as a plant pathologist” on Oct. 25 in the NSUBA auditorium, Room 141 (BAAS 141).

Each seminar in the series will be located on the NSU-Broken Arrow campus. The seminars will begin at 10 a.m. and are expected to last one hour each. Students, as well as members of the public, are encouraged to attend.
