Northeastern State University to host RiverHawk Jam on Feb. 21

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University will welcome prospective students and their guests to the Tahlequah campus for RiverHawk Jam on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026. The spring preview day invites high school juniors, seniors and transfer students to experience campus life and explore what NSU has to offer.

RiverHawk Jam provides an inside look at the academic, social and support resources available to NSU students. Participants will tour residence halls and the fitness center, visit the Student Organization and Academic College Fair, and connect directly with faculty and staff to learn more about degree programs, career pathways and financial aid opportunities.

“RiverHawk Jam is about helping students see themselves here and understand the opportunities that await them at Northeastern,” NSU President Rodney Hanley said. “From academic excellence to personal support, this event showcases how NSU is committed to helping students find their place, pursue their goals and succeed.”

Attendees will receive a free NSU T-shirt, complimentary lunch and access to a hot chocolate station, along with opportunities to win NSU swag and other giveaways.

“This event gives students and families a chance to ask questions, make connections and get a true feel for what life at NSU is like,” Brian Manley, director of admissions and recruitment, said. “RiverHawk Jam is often the moment when students realize NSU feels like home — and that they’ll be supported every step of their college journey.”

The event is free, but registration is required. To sign up, visit nsuok.edu/RiverHawkJam.
