NSU to host Celebration of Teaching event

Northeastern State University to host Celebration of Teaching event for high school juniors and seniors – Feb. 28

TAHLEQUAH, Okla.  — Northeastern State University invites high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in education to attend Celebration of Teaching on Feb. 28.

This all-day event will provide students with an in-depth look at NSU’s education programs and provide a firsthand experience of college life at NSU.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions tailored to their areas of interest, covering topics such as math education, social studies education, English education, early childhood education, foreign language, health and physical education, music education, science education, artificial intelligence, scholarships, STEAM and more.

A Q&A panel will also be available to answer questions about the teaching profession and university experience. The event is free and includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch, but registration is required.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m in the NSU University Center Ballroom.
