TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University will kick off the summer by hosting a variety of youth camps, catering to a wide range of interests. Open to children and teens ages 4 through 18, these camps will provide engaging hands-on experiences across campus locations.

On the Tahlequah campus, students in grades 8 through 12 can choose from multiple camps including Robotics for Young Scientists and Engineers, running June 9-13, and the DroneXperience Summer Academy, scheduled for July 21-25. Both camps include free lunch and two daily snacks. Parents or guardians must complete an application form for participation.

The Robotics for Young Scientists and Engineers camp offers a hands-on learning experience where students will design, build, code and test their own robots. The DroneXperience Summer Academy will train participants to construct and pilot drones, which can be used for activities such as photography.

Additionally, the Tahlequah campus will host various half-day STEAM camps for students in grades 1 through 8, from June 2-21.

At NSU-Broken Arrow, students in grades 8 through 10 can attend two camps free of charge: Get Green for Blue: Outdoor STEM Investigations Connecting Water to You, June 2-6, and Camp Biomed: A Glowing Overview, June 23-27. These camps are geared toward students interested in environmental science and biology and will help them develop scientific skills while engaging in fun, project-based learning. Camps will begin June 2 and run through the summer, with each session lasting one week. Fees range from $65 to $175 and include all necessary materials, a T-shirt and two daily snacks. Parents must accompany campers on the first day for check-in.
