NSU to host Nursing Scholarship Gala
Northeastern State University to host Nursing Scholarship Gala
Northeastern State University will host a Nursing Scholarship Gala Fundraiser—an evening dedicated to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals—on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 at the NSU-Broken Arrow Campus Banquet Hall (Administrative Services Building, 2nd Floor). Doors open at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and live entertainment at 7:30 p.m.
The gala brings together healthcare professionals, community leaders, alumni and supporters from across Oklahoma to celebrate and invest in the future of nursing. Guests will enjoy a variety of activities including a silent auction, poker run, wine pull, live music and opportunities to honor the vital contributions of nurses and nursing students.
“This event is about more than raising funds—it’s about rallying behind the students who will soon be caring for all of us,” NSU President Rodney Hanley said. “Nursing touches every community, and through this gala, we’re investing in the skilled, compassionate professionals who will lead the future of healthcare in Oklahoma and beyond.”
Proceeds from the event directly fund scholarships for NSU nursing students. These scholarships play a critical role in preparing graduates to meet the growing demand for skilled nurses across the region.
“Nursing scholarships do more than fund education—they open doors,” Dr. Heather Fenton, Director of the NSU Nursing Program, said. “They remove financial barriers, but more importantly, they empower students to focus on their training, develop resilience, and grow into compassionate, skilled professionals. Each scholarship carries the potential to change a life—not just for the student, but for every patient and community they will serve. This is how we build a stronger, more empathetic healthcare system—one nurse at a time.”
