Strategic Plan Update

Strategic Plan 2022-2023 Timeline

NSU is winding down our current strategic plan, Excellence the Path to Success. This guiding document sunsets on June 30, 2023. NSU is hard at work in preparing the document that will guide us into the future.

  4. January - May 2022 - Environmental Scan. 
  5. SURVEY. NSU will be collecting feedback on the institution’s strengths, opportunities, and challenges as we chart a course of action to ensure NSU remains an institution of distinction and excellence among our peers. 
  6. NSU employees, students, alumni and community members are encouraged to complete a feedback survey. We need and value your input. 
      • COMMUNITY TOWN HALLS: As NSU ramps up efforts to develop a new strategic plan for the next five years, we will  seek community input through a series of town hall-style meetings held on each campus. 
        • Dates to follow.

      • THE NSU VOICE: The Strategic Plan Steering Committee will visit with the Faculty and Staff Councils, Academic Council, and the mission based standing committees during the environmental scan. The purpose is to have a SWOT analysis discussion framed through the lens of those engaged in the targeted work of the university. 
        • Will also hold a student focus group.
      • Prepare report for Cabinet. Division SWOT analysis, Identify institutional Priorities
    • June-July - Review Mission, Vision, Values
    • August-October - Articulate new strategic goals and outcomes, strategies, and initiatives.
    • November-December- Draft the plan 
    • January - Institutional Data Review Day - before Spring semester
    • January - JuneCirculate new plan for final approval - prepare budgets for F24 and new plan initiatives
    • July 23 - Launch new plan!!
