Idea Generation Phase of the Master Plan
The Idea Generation Phase
The Idea Generation Phase provides a platform to evaluate a wide range of ideas for the future physical development of Northeastern State University. Three distinct alternative concepts have been prepared for each of NSU's campuses: Tahlequah, Broken Arrow and Muskogee. Each concept utilizes a different design solution to address the opportunities, constraints and needs identified during the Analysis Phase. The preliminary guiding principles serve as the framework from which all master plan concepts were derived.
The alternatives do not represent a final answer; rather they are intended as tools to foster discussion. You will likely see ideas that you like, as well as ones you do not. This is expected and is a key part of the process in determining which aspects should move forward or not. The alternatives include ideas relating to campus enhancement such as building renovation strategies, proposed building expansion and development opportunities, vehicular circulation and pedestrian connectivity modifications, and the creation of campus open space.
From these alternatives, the university will identify the most desirable components within each plan to inform further development of the Master Plan. During the next phase, Refinement, a preliminary Master Plan will be developed for each campus that presents a single future vision for NSU. It will reinforce the goals and objectives of the institution.
Your feedback is essential at this critical stage of the process to help guide the future direction of the NSU Master Plan. Please review the presentations links and provide your input in the comment box below.
