Use

See a preview of plain text asset content when you add it into a page. The asset text is displayed where the asset is inserted, though still marked by bars and unable to be modified.

Plain text assets automatically inherit the CSS styles of the page or region they're placed in.

A common use for plain text assets is contact information or statistics. For example, the number of enrolled students might appear on multiple pages, and changes on at least a bi-annual basis. By making this number a plain text asset, it can be inserted seamlessly into the text of multiple pages, but when time comes to change it, the asset only needs to be edited once.

Edit

Edit an existing plain text asset, as follows:

  1. Navigate to Content Assets.
  2. Click on the name of the asset you want to edit.
  3. Check out the asset.
  4. Click Edit in the page actions toolbar.
  5. Edit the asset content.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Publish the asset for your changes to appear on the live website.
