Creating Columns | CMS Knowledge Base

Columns

Columns allow you to organize content side by side within a page. They are commonly used to display related information in a structured layout, such as text next to images or multiple sections of content displayed evenly across a page.

Columns should always be placed inside a Content Box to maintain proper spacing, contrast, and accessibility.

  1. Before you begin, add a Content Box as your base background.
  2. Insert a Snippet
    • Select Insert Snippet from the WYSIWYG.
  3. Choose Column Content
    • From the snippet list, select the desired Column Content type.
  4. Click Insert
    • Once selected, click Insert to add the desired Column Content.
  5. Add your Content
    • Enter your content in the Content section of each column.
  6. Save your changes
    • Click Save to store your edits.
  7. Preview the page
    • Review your layout in the Preview tab.
  8. Publish the page
    • If you are done making edits, click Publish to push your changes live.

Note:

  • Columns should always be used within a Content Box
  • If the layout feels crowded, consider using fewer columns or a single-column layout instead

Using Columns Effectively

  • Avoid placing large blocks of text in narrow columns
  • Do not nest columns inside other columns
  • Preview the page to ensure content displays clearly on different screen sizes
