Content Boxes
Content Boxes are used to structure and organize content on a page. They provide a consistent background, spacing, and contrast that support accessibility and visual consistency across the website.
When creating a page, always start with a Content Box before adding other content.
Why Content Boxes Are Important
- Provide a consistent background for content
- Help maintain proper color contrast
- Support ADA and web accessibility standards
- Keep page layouts clean and readable
- Add a Content Box
- Navigate to the editable area of the page where you want to add content.
- Click Add Content.
- Insert a Snippet
- Select Insert Snippet from the WYSIWYG.
- Choose a Content Box type
- From the snippet list, select the appropriate Content Box type.
- Click Insert
- Once selected, click Insert to add the Content Box to the page.
- Add your content
- Enter your text, links, or other information into the Content section.
- This is where the visible page content lives.
- Save your changes
- Click Save to store your edits.
- Publish the page
- Click Publish to push your changes live.
Note: When creating a page, always add a Content Box as your base before adding any other content. Using a Content Box helps maintain proper color contrast and supports web accessibility standards.
Available Content Box Types
- Content Box - Standard content area; Always use as a background
- Arrow Below or Inline – Arrow-style callout displayed below content or Inline arrow-style callout
- Tabs – Organizes content into tabbed sections
- Accordion – Organizes content into expandable and collapsible sections.
- Sidebar: Content Box – A content box used in the sidebar area of the page.
