NSU's Fall Second 8-Week Classes start Oct. 12

8-week courses offer flexible pathways, opportunity to stay on track toward graduation

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University (NSU) encourages current and prospective students to accelerate their degree progress by enrolling in the second block of 8-week Fall 2026 courses beginning Oct. 12.

Designed to meet the same learning objectives as traditional full-semester courses, these accelerated classes let students master full course content in half the time. The second 8-week block offers an opportunity for students to add credit hours, complete prerequisites or catch up on coursework without delaying their targeted graduation date.

NSU President Rodney Hanley said flexible course options can help students make progress while balancing their education with other responsibilities.

“Time is a student's most valuable asset, and investing in their education should fit seamlessly into their schedule," Hanley said. “Our 8-week courses give students an opportunity to make the most of every semester, make every week count and take control of their future. By choosing to invest in themselves today, our students can continue making progress toward earning their degree and reaching their personal goals.”
