NSU welcomes high school seniors to experience college life at Senior Day 2026

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State University (NSU) is inviting high school seniors to get a taste of college life at Senior Day 2026 on Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Senior Day is an annual college preview event NSU organizes to help seniors envision life at NSU through tours, presentations and discussions with professors and current students.

Attendees will tour the Tahlequah campus, including its residence halls, and explore life on campus. They will also get to meet with student representatives from the over 100 student organizations at NSU.

Additionally, students will meet professors and learn about NSU’s many degrees and majors. Presentations from Financial Aid, Admissions and more will also help answer any questions prospective students might have.

Students who sign up will have a chance to win scholarships and other giveaways. Attendees will also receive a complimentary lunch, t-shirt and a waiver for the NSU application fee.

NSU President Rodney Hanley emphasized the university's commitment to creating an encouraging environment for prospective students as they take the next step in their education.

"Choosing where to pursue higher education is a pivotal step and NSU is committed to making that transition as seamless and encouraging as possible," Hanley said. "Senior Day is designed to show high school seniors that success is fully within their reach. From academic opportunities to life on campus, we want every student to leave knowing they have a community here ready to support their goals."

Senior Day is free, but registration is required. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. Parking will be available at the John Vaughan Library, with shuttles being available.
